Donish Ahmad

Donish Ahmad was an important figure in the Jadidia movement that spread all over Central Asia. Through his missions in Russia as a diplomat he familiarized with liberal reformist ideas of his era. The book, Navodir ul-Vaqoe (Rare Stories), is critical towards the medieval society of Bukhara. Jadidist movement has been partially inspired by the idea of Donish.
