Koshari (can also be spelled Koshary or Kushari) can be considered the national dish of Egypt.  It can be found in Egyptian restaurants, homes, and also sold on the street. It is a combination mixing lentils, macaroni noodles and rice into a single dish, then topped with a spicy tomato sauce, garbanzo beans, fried onions, and a garlic vinegar.
